2023 Alpha Wolf EV – You may have the opportunity to buy a Subaru BRAT-style pickup and an electric one in 2023. Alpha Motor Corporation, an EV startup that we know well for its retro-styled electric coup concept, plans to produce a small-sized truck and build a three-model lineup including the Ace coupe as well as the Jax crossover.
2023 Alpha Wolf EV Redesign
Although the Wolf is not very large, its specs indicate that it will be more than just a toy. Alpha will offer a battery that can deliver 250 to 275 miles with either front- or all-wheel drive. The Wolf promises to tow 3,000 pounds and has a length of 5.5 feet (65 inches long, 60 inches wide) cargo bed. It also features a front trunk or “frunk” that can hold cargo. It will use the same platform as the company’s other models, but it will be longer than the retro-styled coupe at 188 inches from the front to the back.
The interior will remain minimalistic and modern with a vertical touchscreen (now required) for almost all controls and seating for two. It will have a tool storage area behind the cab so that it can be used as a cargo bed. We suspect that additional items such as a roll bar with lights and front push bars with knobby tires could be added to the cargo bed.
2023 Alpha Wolf EV Release Date & Price
Although we don’t yet know the exact power specs of the model, the Wolf is expected to sell for $36,000, before any incentives. While the top model will cost $46,000, the Wolf’s price may not be comparable to other EV trucks on the market. It is obvious that a starting price for an EV player of any kind of $36,000 would seem high, even for one with existing factories. Imagine Nissan using the Leaf’s underpinnings to build a trucklet from existing EV hardware.
Alpha currently has three models in development and no production line. This means that a $36,000 electric pickup will need to be made by 2023. You can make a reservation for the Wolf now and send good thoughts to ensure everything falls into place. If everything goes according to plan, then the Wolf will be quite a departure from the huge and expensive electric pickups that will start arriving on the market in late 2021. These will include the Hummer EV and the handmade Bollinger models. Both of these will break the $100,000 barrier in top-spec. If it arrives in 2023 the Wolf could have its own segment, as no other automaker has ever planned something so small- and affordable. It just needs to come through as promised.
