2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 – The Chevy midsize Colorado pickup truck is already getting a facelift. After a prototype of the regular model was spotted in May, spy photographers were able to capture the vehicle in ZR2 off-road mode.
2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Review
You might be tempted to believe that this truck is not a ZR2, given the amount of camo it wears. You might be correct to an extent. But some things make it clear. One, the taillight covers are marked “ZR2”, although they are written backward. This means that they could be on the inside.
The truck also appears to have the same high-riding stance and chunky tires as the outgoing truck. This further solidifies the ZR2 speculations. The Colorado test truck has new side rock rails and an updated wheel design. It also features a slightly modified styling, complete with new lighting elements. Although there were no photos of the interior, it will likely get more modern tech.
Although it is not clear what engine will power the new Colorado ZR2, it is safe to assume something similar to the current model. According to reports, the truck will be built on the GM Global B platform and will receive the 2.7-liter Inline-four from GMC Sierra. The truck’s powerplant produces 310 horsepower (314 PS/ 231kW) and 348lb-ft (472Nm) of torque. This would be an improvement over the ZR2’s 308 HP (310 PS/ 230kW) and 275lb-ft (373Nm) respectively.
2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Release Date
