2023 GMC Canyon AT4 OVRLANDX Off-Road Concept – In recent years, Overlanding has grown in popularity as more people want to get off the beaten track and spend the night away from civilization to recharge their batteries. The COVID-19 epidemic in 2020 temporarily hampered this adventurous lifestyle. But now, after months of being trapped indoors, people want to reconnect with Mother Nature.

This weekend’s Overland Expo Mountain West is a great place to show off fully customized trucks that can go anywhere. GMC will be attending the show with a modified Canyon AT4 that is capable of going anywhere, the OVERLANDX off-road Concept. The show truck was lifted from the factory and rides on 33-inch BFGoodrich KM3 Mud-Terrain tires with 17-inch AEV Crestone wheels.

GMC has a long list to modify the pickup. It has rocker panel protectors, a built-in front recovery point, and extended underbody protection. There is also a heavy-duty bumper with a winch and a heavy-duty front bumper. The canyon is off-road ready with front and rear electronic locking differentials, as well as a solar panel. The bed storage area also features a clever drawer system.

The OVERLANDX Offroad Concept has a 10-inch clearance and a 27.7-degree approach angle. Once you reach your destination, you can relax in the tent-roof tent. GMC equipped the Canyon AT4 with an umbrella to provide shelter from the rain and sun. Additional upgrades include a cooler, a kitchenette, and guy lines to protect the windshield from being struck by low-hanging branches.
