2023 Nikola Zero-Emission Trucks – Nikola, are you still with us? The electric semi-truck startup that received a ridiculous valuation turned out to be a fraud perpetrated by Trevor Milton, founder, and former CEO. He was later indicted three times. It turns out, the company is still going strong, but with less hype. According to an announcement Friday by the company, the company is now delivering the first Nikola Tre trucks in Southern California to Total Transportation Services Inc.
To be truthful, we are also surprised. TTSI ordered 100 zero-emission Tre trucks to be used for drayage, which is short-distance hauling. This will take place at the ports in Long Beach and Los Angeles. TTSI has ordered four trucks. Two of them are pure battery-electric and two are hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. Nikola’s initial brand was built on this technology, but it isn’t clear how far Nikola got before the big crash last year.
2023 Nikola Zero-Emission Trucks Review
Nikola claims that the Tre can travel up to 350 miles using a 753-kilowatt hour battery. It also boasts a sustained output power of 645 horsepower. Although it isn’t clear if these specs are available on the trucks that were delivered to TTSI, it is still very exciting if they are.
2023 Nikola Zero-Emission Trucks Produced
Thanks to its partnership with IVECO trucks and the Port of Hamburg, the EV startup plans to export its trucks. This could lead to up to 25 electric trucks being delivered in the next year. Nikola was contacted by us to clarify vehicle specifications, but we didn’t hear back before publication.
