2023 Rivian R1T – Rivian is learning that building cars can be difficult. The startup’s all-electric and delayed R1T pickup began trickling to customers in September. However, if you reserve one of these trucks, it may still be unavailable until 2023.
2023 Rivian R1T Review
According to The Drive and Rivian Owners Forum, the automaker confirmed the drawn-out delivery plan in SEC paperwork dated Nov. 5. The filing stated, “Based on our current production outlook, we expect to fulfill our preorder backlog of approximately 55,400 R1 cars by the end of 2020.” That’s what happens if you pay $1,000 as a deposit for one of these amazing electric trucks.
Why is the slow manufacturing pace so frustrating? You can put it down to a global health emergency. According to the same SEC filing, “The devastating effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic have had a significant impact on our business and operations, from facility construction to equipment installations to vehicle component supply.” As well as numerous other risk factors, the ongoing shortage of semiconductors is causing problems.
2023 Rivian R1T Produced
Rivian plans to increase production as soon as possible. Rivian plans to double the production at its Normal, Illinois plant to 200,000 units by 2023. This will include the R1T truck, along with related models such as the R1S SUV that is due to launch next month. It also includes the electric delivery van, which Amazon has ordered 100,000 units.
Rivian needs to address its production problems quickly so that R1Ts can be delivered to customers who are eagerly awaiting them. This all-electric pickup truck is a great vehicle that shows the EV revolution is gaining momentum.
