2024 Chevy Silverado EV – The Chevrolet’s brand newly-released Silverado EV electric pickup was just unveiled, and it features something it’s not yet available. Ford F-150 Lightning does not yet provide an off-road-oriented model. As with the gasoline-powered Silverado and the F-150 Lightning, the Silverado EV will have a Trail Boss off-road model.
2024 Chevy Silverado EV Review
Chevrolet isn’t going to reveal any other information on this Silverado EV Trail Boss other than the images above. This shows that it will sport the body’s matte-black cladding, as well as red tow hooks on its front. This Silverado EV is available with 24 inches of wheels, however, this Trail Boss will have smaller distinctive black wheels mounted with all-terrain tires. Expect a suspension that is lifted and standard air springs, lockable differentials (the GMC Hummer EV has two motors that are electric on the rear axle which be used to simulate a locking diff as well as an additional locking mechanism on the front axle) as well as be able to get Hummer’s Crab Walk feature, as well.
Its Silverado EV doesn’t share underpinnings with the gas version instead, it’s an elongated version of the GMC Hummer’s Ultium platform. It comes with a 200.0-kWh battery pack as well as 2 electric motors. One for each axle, and able to deliver up to 780 pounds-feet of torque, in a unique launch-control mode. The claimed range is 400 miles, however, anticipate seeing the Trail Boss model’s range to be shorter than that because it’s all-terrain rubber.
