2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 – As of late, the off-road pickup truck market is one of the most dynamic and competitive segments among automakers. All three Detroit automakers are producing trucks in a variety of sizes and with different capabilities as off-roading and other Overlanding become more popular. General Motors doesn’t currently have an F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 TRX counterparts in its lineup. However, should not be overlooked the company’s trail-focused offerings. The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is an outstanding performer, while the Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss and GMC Sierra AT4 trucks are a step up from the standard models. We have some information from spy sources that suggest a refreshed GMC Sierra HD AT4 2024 with Denali-inspired equipment is possible. Here are the details.
2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 Review
GMC Sierra HD AT4 is a luxury pickup that offers a lesser amount of off-road hardware than the Ram HD Power Wagon or Ford Super Duty Tremor. The AT4 is based on the SLT trim and includes goodies such as a 2-inch suspension lift. Rancho monotube springs, 18- or 20-inch wheels, Goodyear Wrangler tire, and underbody skid plates. The package also includes a two-speed transfer box and a locking rear differential. These can be used in conjunction with software add-ons such as Hill Descent Control or GMC’s Traction Select System. The trucks are easily identified visually by their distinctive grille designs, dual exhausts, and red tow hooks. This design will probably remain the same for the 2024 model-year refresh of GM’s HD trucks.
GM is currently testing a 2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 equipped with a set of chrome wheels that are reserved for Denali models. According to MC&T sources, GMC is not planning to converge the AT4 and Denali trims anytime soon. This means that there’s a chance that these Denali wheels could be offered on the new Sierra HD AT4 either as an RPO factory option (or an LPO dealer-installed accessory).
2024 GMC Sierra HD AT4 Future
GMC Sierra HD AT4 2024 Could get a little bit of Denali content. Denali trims account for a large portion of GMC’s sales. Although the AT4 model’s more modern look is appealing, we wish that the automaker would make an off-roader to compete with the market leaders. General Motors has proven that it is capable of producing such a vehicle, as the Colorado ZR2 or Hummer EV can attest. We’ll have to wait to see what the future holds.
