2024 Jeep Scrambler All-Electric Baby Ute – Jeep unveiled its first all-electric vehicle in recent days, a small SUV codenamed “516”, ahead of its launch in 2023’s first half. It makes sense that Jeep may be looking at a lifestyle vehicle to go under the dual-cab Gladiator, given the growing popularity of compact pickups in the US like the Hyundai Santa Cruz or Ford Maverick. These digital renderings by Artist Throttle give a glimpse of the potential design. We’ve given it the name Jeep Scrambler to reflect the small ute that was offered by American carmaker Ford between 1981 and 1986.

Although the original Scrambler was hailed as America’s first small 4×4 pickup, this new model could be America’s very first small electric pick-up. Most manufacturers are currently focusing on battery-powered versions full-size pick-ups such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevrolet Silverado EV, and the future Ram 1500 EV.
This ute’s Jeep SUV is said to be based on the e-CMP platform that is shared with other Stellantis electric models. However, some outlets report that the Jeep may introduce a rear-mounted motor for the 516 all-wheel-drive.
