2024 Mitsubishi L200 Spied Testing

2024 Mitsubishi L200 – In 2015, the current generation of the Mitsubishi Triton/L200 pickup truck was revealed. After a complete facelift in 2018, the Japanese automaker began the development of its successor. The Arctic Circle winter testing revealed that a mule of the pickup weighing one ton was seen. This gave us hints about the future model.

2024 Mitsubishi L200 Review

The pickup, unlike early mules that were used to test the new chassis’s capabilities, does not have a production body. Instead, most of its exterior panels and interior panels are taken from the current Triton/L200. Strange is the fact that the headlights were replaced with the halogen units from a pre-facelift Mitsubishi Mirage/Spacestar in 2012. These headlights, along with additional foglights, are mounted on the L200’s bumper.

Except for the odd lighting arrangement at the front, camouflaged bodies look identical to the dual-cab L200 facelifted L200. The longer wheelbase is apparent in the mismatched rear wheel arches and the new position of the exhaust pipe that comes out from the custom rear bumper. The pickup also has a Euro pallet and an aluminum cage on its rear bed. This is likely to test the pickup’s loading abilities and weight balance.

2024 Mitsubishi L200 Released

The next-generation Mitsubishi Triton/L200 could launch in 2023 or 2024. It will likely feature an updated ladder-frame chassis as well as a completely new design. The L200 will likely get more technology and comfort features, as buyers will use it for work and pleasure. This is in line with the current pickup market trend. A long-rumored variant that is off-road-focused could also be available as a rival to the Ford Ranger Raptor.
