2025 Rivian Electric – Rivian’s all-electric pickup truck and SUV has taken the electric-car world by storm. Its plans don’t end there. Bloomberg was informed last week by RJ Scaringe, CEO of the company that six new all-electric models will be on the market by 2025.
2025 Rivian Electric Review
We have seen glimpses of the R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV prototypes that the company displayed at the LA Auto Show last year. The spy photos of a high-performance off-road rally car, which the company hinted would be the company’s third model, also show the first two. The pickup will be available in 2020 as a 2021 version and the SUV R1S for seven passengers a year later. The rally car will arrive sometime later.

These six electric trucks and SUVs are not the end. Rivian will manufacture these models under its own brand. However, the company stated that it plans on licensing its “skateboard”, electric-car chassis to other manufacturers so that they can produce products that aren’t directly comparable to its models. Rivian revealed that it had received $700 million from Amazon in its latest round of investment last fall. Rumors swirled that Rivian was also in discussions with GM. Scaringe stated that GM offered to trade the company’s electric powertrain expertise in exchange for GM manufacturing and production prowess. This was to ensure its ability to license its technology to other automakers. Michigan-based startup automaker owns the former Mitsubishi factory in Normal (Illinois), which used to produce everything from Eclipse hatchbacks and massive Endeavor SUVs. Also, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth badge-engineered products. Rivian intends to build its own cars there, and possibly others for clients.
