2025 Volta Zero Electric Truck – Volta Trucks today unveiled its all-electric Volta Zero electric vehicle, which is designed for inner-city freight distribution.
2025 Volta Zero Electric Truck Review
The 160-200 kWh (LFP chemistry), 160-200 mAh batteries (LFP) will provide up to 150-200 km (90–125 mi) of range. Its efficient packaging is the key advantage of this EV truck. It can take 16 euro pallets, 8.6 tons of payload, and a volume of 37.3 m3. This is a great price for a truck of 16 tonnes. The company also suggests an innovative electric drive for rear wheels that consists of an electric motor and transmission in a single, lightweight, compact e-Axle unit.
The central driving position is another important feature. It’s a glass-house-style cab design that offers wide visibility of 220-degrees. There are sliding doors on both sides. The company plans to conduct trials in Europe with the largest logistic operators, such as Bring and Posten, during the first half of 2021. The pilot fleet will comprise 12 units.
2025 Volta Zero Electric Truck Produced
Production will begin in the UK in 2022 (by an undisclosed contract maker) with the goal of producing 500 vehicles for customers by 2022. Volta Zero’s first orders have already been placed. The production output will reach 5,000 annually by 2025 and will continue to rise beyond that.
